Dr. Jeannette Janzen graduated from the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan and from McGill University (Family Medicine) in 1988.

She volunteered as a physician in Honduras in 1988. She is now practicing family medicine in private practice, as well as conducting research for Kells Medical Research. She is a member of the Collège des médecins du Québec (Québec college of physicians and surgeons) and of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. She also has training in travel health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, at the University of London, in England.
